LHS Choir is open to students in third grade and above who can make a commitment to regular attendance at choir rehearsals. To join the choir, download the registration form below and return to the office with payment. We can especially use male voices and upper school students.
Choir rehearsal is held each Thursday, August 30-May 30, after school in the Music Room from 3:15-4 p.m. (No choir practices on half-days or days when school is out. Also no practice on December 20 or May 23, the days of the Christmas concert & spring musical.) Choir members are expected to attend all rehearsals. It is very difficult to rehearse or prepare for Mass properly with absent voices.
Choir members who are also on sports teams should discuss schedules with Mrs. Fancher and their coaches to accommodate both activities: If there is practice on a Thursday - come to choir rehearsal, then report to practice at 4 p.m. If there is a home game beginning at 4 p.m., come to rehearsal until @3:40 to prepare for Mass the next day. If there is an away game, choir members are excused from rehearsal that day. Choir members on Safety Patrol should get a substitute for Thursdays.
