LHS SPRING MUSICAL "The Grunch" - Thursday, May 23, 2019 at 6:30 p.m.
Presented by Grade 5 with supporting cast from Grade 7 & Grade 3.
Grade 1 will present "The First Grade Follies" before the play.
(If your child is in one of these grades and is not going to be present for the evening, PLEASE LET MRS. FANCHER OR THEIR HOMEROOM TEACHER KNOW ASAP!)
COSTUMES FOR EACH GRADE:
Grade 1 - "First Grade Follies" will wear any red, green, black, and/or white play clothes. Students may choose just 1 or 2 or 3 or all 4 colors to include in their outfits (for example: a white dress with white tights and white shoes OR green pants and red shirt and black shoes OR black shirt and shoes with green skirt). Follies are moving around a LOT, clothes should not limit movement and shoes should be good for running & jumping. Boater hats are being provided - but they won't fit if girls have ponytails up high on their heads. Low ponytails are fine.
Grade 3 - "Junior Stars" wear green tops (no pictures or writing on shirts) and brown/tan long pants.
Grade 5 - "Whoover Students" wear LHS uniforms with each character adding his own touches. Other costume items are being collected in class. "Whoover Staff" wear teacher dress clothes, they may also choose to change into dressy clothes for the Theatre Scene. "Stage Manager" wears all black.
Grade 7 - "Theatre Critics" have two costumes. Subway Scene: a long coat or big shawl to disguise themselves. In class we are collecting wigs, hats, sunglasses, moustaches, and a clown nose so each student has one or two items. Train & Theatre Scenes: boys - suitjacket, dress pants, and tie; girls - glamorous dress (some of these are being collected in class).
